I'm just guessing on the price of the Guinea Pig to be 25$. (thats what they are at petco) So total around 40-45$ total. supplies= bout 20$And your cage, its okay. Guinea pigs are very good climbers and can chew threw anything. I don't no if not having a top is a very good idea.

Well that cage wouldn't be good for 2 pigs which is what you should get. Guinea pigs are very social animals and do much better with a friend. When a guinea pig lives alone it does not popcorn much, has no one to rumblestrutt with and sometimes will not even eat like a pig who has a friend. Trust me on this because I rescue guinea pigs and have seen piggys that lived alone who had no presonality until they got a friend. And I know people who only want one will say "I will spend time with them" but really, what about when you are at school, work and speeping...what will your piggy do then??? So please consider adopting from a shelter or rescue and do not BUY from a petstore.Oh and as far as cost goes you need to figure in veggies bcause they should get them every day (read up on that) and you need to have money saved for vet bills because they can get sick easilyRead more here at www.guinealynx.com/info and www.guineapigcages.com.
