When I googled the video card you have now I saw PCIe 1.0a, and the one you want is for PCIe 2.0 x16, which your computer will not support. BUT in order to know for sure, you need to find out what your motherboard can support PCIe wise. So if your motherboard supports PCIe 2.0 x16, then you can use that video card you want.

Hyper-threading has absolutely nothing to do with clock speed, and you can not multiply or add clock speeds. The processor may be faster in some applications, but it is not because the clock speed, because the more you work per clock cycle, esp. the cache.

They have a motherboard that could cause compatibility problems. To answer your question, you can. Look at the box, a new graphics card and look at the motherboard specifications. Look for the "PC" words and if it matches, it probably works. But I would not open the window, a new graphics card until I am hardly new.
