I am US - American - and I don't see any benefit. We could get the Mexican and Canadian beer without NAFTA - and we had safer roads without it (I live in TX, and the NAFTA corridor goes right through my town). I don't notice any benefit of NAFTA where I live.

i don't have 5 reasons, only one . . . cheaper goods for American, Mexican and Canadian consumers. If we didn't have a free trade agreement, we'd be paying extra taxes on everything, including necessities like food. You may not see the benifit, but if you look at what hasn't happened because of NAFTA, you'll realize its value. The best example is food. Despite inflation, food prices cost less today then anytime in the past, because we are able to trade products that we have extra of to mexico and canada for products that they have extra of, all tax free.Basically, from a consumer's sense, its as if Canada and Mexico are the 51st and 52nd states . . . so . . . can you give me 5 benefits of having North Dakota?
