I have often wondered this. Say you go into a bar and you sit at a table away from the bar and you are ordering "Premium Call" drinks like: Jack and Coke or Chivas and Soda. After a few rounds, have you ever known a bartender to switch to a lesser booze and pocket the difference in price? Or do you think it has ever happened to you? I mean after 4 Jack and Coke, could you tell if a "well bourbon" was now being used?Have you ever invented a drink? If so what is it?Do you know anyone that has started a fight or will give someone crap over the beer that they ordered? I mean like these bozos who act like there is no other beer besides Budweiser and if you order a Fosters or Japanese import, they are just about ready to fight you? What songs do you always play on the jukebox? What can you not drink? And lastly... Do they sell berr / booze in liquor stores on Sunday where you are? NOT all States sell alcohol on Sundays.

-the only time I order a specific brand is when im taking shots or getting beer, and I can tell a difference but never had a problem, when Im at the bar I usually just drink beer, if its draft I'll watch them pour it, if its in bottles, well, its kind of hard to cheat on that-havent really "invented" any drink but I have mixed some random stuff, when I was younger I used to drink 211 and to try to get rid of that funky @ss taste I'd mix it with dr pepper, actually came out pretty good-lol, no, Ive had the bartender or waitress accidentally give me the wrong beer but it was never a problem, I either drink it or they switch it out, never seen anyone get that upset over it-anything by George Thorogood and AC/DC, its just good drinking music; especially the song "Have a drink on me"-only thing I cant drink is gin; I havent had it in a long time so it might not be that bad now but when I did drink it in the past I couldnt stand it; I dont like most clear liquors other than vodka but can tolerate most of them -nope, Im in VA, I can buy beer on sunday and order liquor at a bar but the liquor stores are closed, if I want a bottle of liquor on sunday I have to drive to Maryland, which really isnt that far from me

Bartenders DO do that ALL THE TIME! I never have, but I've seen lots of others do it. And most people can't tell the difference between premium or well from the get go. It's usually the people who only drink that type of liquor who can tell the difference. I wouldn't say I've ever invented a drink. Sometimes I vary the ingredients in drinks to make it more to a customers liking. I've never seen anyone actually start a fight over someone's beer preference, but I see alot of trash talk about it. Especially between the beer distributors, when they come in to drink ( Budweiser employees and Coors Light)I can't drink Gin. That's an automatic pass for me to spend the rest of the night worshipping the porcelain God, and Jager makes me mean. I live in Texas and it is strictly prohibited for liquor stores to be open on Sunday. Beer can be sold though after noon. And if you go into a restaurant before noon on Sunday, unless you order food you can't drink until 12 o'clock.

Unless the bar does inventory every night - a bartender doesn't really have a reason to give you a well drink when you asked for top shelf. I've worked for unscrupulous owners who would refill say a Jack Daniels bottle with cheap stuff and it was THEM who got to pocket the difference. Any bartender worth their salt would not risk a tip by switching brands. They really have no reason to.Most people can't tell top shelf from well if it's mixed with soda or water or sweet sour mix. Never invented a drink but I love a bloody beer with a lot of cocktail onion juice in it.I prefer to listen to live bands and not juke boxes.Never saw a fight started over beer preference. In CA they sell booze in the grocery stores. I think it's 10 every night including Sundays.Bars have to stop serving at 2 am
