I think that the claim that "Most illegal aliens from south of our borders fit the following profile, written in the imaginary first person for clarity..." is a joke. I know some people feel that way but it is over the top and trying to incite animosity toward hispanics. They do come here for a better life. Not surprising but everyone should be coming here legally. Enforcement of immigration law is not racist because it applies to all races. It doesn't say hispanics are barred from entry in the US. The pro-illegal alien groups are just using the racism argument because white people are traumatized with race issues due to slavery and the civil rights era. I have found that generally every ethnicity has a degree of racism. I think that hispanics are in favor of illegal immigration because it benefits their ethnicity. To support an amnesty is actually racist because it disproportionately benefits hispanics whereas legal immigration allows all ethnicities to benefit. There are so many different ethnicities waiting in line that it is unfair that hispanics who have broken the law would benefit from this crime.

We all know this is true and the truth cant be racist now you will hear form the SAME old people on here that will take up for them no matter what.Ive seen people put up statistics regarding %of illegals that get welfare and %of illegals that are criminal and in prison for murder, rape and other horrible crimes and these bleeding heart people here will sound like the illegals lawyers and say that didn't happen this illegal wasn't even there at the time they where out working hard to make a life for their family. But I have to say it makes for a good laugh as most of us DO know that illegals are a burden and needs to be deported....

No! but sadly today's "anti-immigration movement" is just about that. Anti-immigration groups have changed the meaning of "Patriotism", and now our youth that study both sides won't know how to respond to that word.=================================The Anti-Immigration Movement The immigration debate in the United States has been marked by racist propaganda, bogus statistics about immigrants and wild conspiracy theories — all of which combine to dehumanize Latino immigrants and falsely portray them as disease-carrying, job-stealing criminals invading our country. This xenophobic rhetoric — echoes of the scapegoating of new immigrants throughout American history — has seeped steadily into the mainstream, taken up by right-wing politicians and popular media figures like Lou Dobbs. The myths and conspiracy theories about immigrants often originate within racist extremist organizations. And the vitriol heard daily on talk radio and cable TV has helped nurture a movement of anti-immigration groups as well as traditional hate groups.
