I don't consider that to be an OBJECTIVE pair of definitions. Here are OBJECTIVE definitions: In "The Federal Courts, Politics, and the Rule of Law," by John C. Hughes (published 1995), it says:"In the contemporary political context, those who fear conformity have tended to describe themselves as liberal and have tended to applaud judicial 'protection' of human rights. Those who fear diversity have tended to call themselves conservatives and have been appalled by judicial 'usurpation' of the majority's discretion to form the kind of community it finds most conducive to its own happiness. The former tends to approve of the expansive theories of constitutional interpretation, while the latter tends to prefer the restrained theories of judicial review. These alignments are neither perfect nor inevitable, but the debate has surely been shrill."

Well, it's very funny, but not true. This liberal firefighter is smart enough to see that, if one accepts your definition of liberal, then at least 85% of Americans are conservative, which makes one wonder how Mr Obama got so resoundingly elected.Maybe some of your Conservative buddies are really playing for the other side (gasp!), or maybe your history lesson, while hilarious, is more hilarious than accurate.Have a great weekend, though!!--oimOh yeah---all of the brewers of beer I know voted for Obama, too.I'll be sure to tip one back in your honor tonight.

This is very good, however as a liberal, i have a few questions.being an African American, did we not show the conservatives how to fry chicken. That conservative guy, Jack Daniels died from an infected broken toe, if the conservatives had socialist health care, would he have been treated and lived?I prefer Guinness Stout to beer, so what class would I be in?that is all.
