Default Does antique wine have any value?

I have found an old bottle of Riesling wine; on the front there is an attitional label that says "Not to be sold to soldier or sailor" and on the back it has a label with a hand written serial number that says something in regards to being imported into chicago under the War act of 1918 or something.Sorry for lack of detail as I do not have it with me as I write this, but would anyone know of its potential value or how to track something like this?My guess is that it is not worth much as a wine to drink, but more as a collectors item/antique in that it was imported during the prohibition era and has the serial numbers, etc. with it.

Yes but it depends on the label and year it was made. Some years are better than others. Best to email someone who specialises in such things. Practicing Shaman... quantum physics rocks.

Some wines age, some don't. I would venture a guess that if it's a Reisling, and it was older than 25 years, it's way past its peak. The 'War Act/1918" has nothing to do with the age of the wine. Look for the year on the label, such as 1921 Reisling or something like that. That will be the value.Check out Wine Access. http://www.wineaccess.com as they have over 63,000 wines to search. Go back and get the label as it will have all the information that you need to input to get your answer. Good luck!
