can anyone tell me what the import tax is going to cost her on these items?

If these are small quantities and if you had indicated on the shipment that these are gifts, there will be no taxes.

My relatives from the US used a door-to-door balikbayan box to send us chocolates and food and I don't think they were taxed to send it to us. No problem!
