i have a friend in the Philippines. i have sent her some stuff m&m's, honey, tea, cookies, jolly ranchers.
If these are small quantities and if you had indicated on the shipment that these are gifts, there will be no taxes.

My relatives from the US used a door-to-door balikbayan box to send us chocolates and food and I don't think they were taxed to send it to us. No problem!
