This produce we import is not fresh, in that from the time it is picked until it is in our stores, which could be over a weeks time. Further more, there have been instances of produce unfit for human consumption entering our country. A Chi-Chi's Mexican Resturant back east had 575 customers attract Hepititis from comtaminate green onions grown in Mexico. Do these people who decide to let these things happen to our country eat the same imported food the rest of us may have to? Why do we need so many vegetable pickers and illegal aliens in this country, if a large portion of this produce is be exported?
