Are there still people interested in purchasing handmade crafts? I'm not talking about stuff from the wholesale catalogs that is imported. I would like to start selling in craft shows. I hand paint on shovels and love to do tole painting for the holidays. I have tried E-Bay with no luck, it costs way to much to list and paypal is too expensive. Would love your feedback, Thanks!

Your best bet is to sell them at booths, like at fairs, festivals and the like. In the Midwest, they are always having one somewhere, and people definitely still buying them. Good luck!

Yes, people do buy handmade crafts. Set up at local craft shows, but one warning, you'll never ever recop your time put into making the craft. If you're doing it to make money, forget it.

Absolutely! People love to buy homemade crafts. That is why they have craft shows. If you are doing it just for the enjoyment and to earn a little extra money, that is great. You probably won't get rich selling crafts unless you can market them to a large customer base and mass produce them.

I do buy handmade drafts, mainly because they worth more than object made by machines. Handmade crafts are usually unique and original. I usually buy traditional crafts - towels, traditional costumes, handmade potery.

Yes,but you have to diversify. try setting up a store on E-bay and selling both hand crafted and inexpensive items that are mass produced but cheap to buy as impulse purchases.

Yes, you must first start letting people know your work is for sell and not give it away. There is a big market to handmade items, since so many people find it to expensive or either no retailers able to keep their doors open just making handmade items. These young people don't have the same respect for long lasting items as people with money do, and older people. Yet, there is a big market out there. Many don't know where to go, a book should be created to let people know about people who do handmade work. The market is out there, the money is too.Silver Birch

No, not anymore because so much of it is too-too country - blue ribbons on geese, etc.
