The short answer...American Greed. The long answer is people started buying Japanese goods because they were a bit cheaper and its grown from there and it wont stop til people no longer have a job that pays enough to support our standard of living we enjoy in the USA.(we are getting closer btw) I started preaching this back in the the late 70's. Its always amazed me that an ol country boy could see this coming and people much more educated than me and politicians couldnt. I know I hope people dont start buying chinese toilet paper and paper towels cause I need my good paying job.

1.Too many people won't work for the wages needed for the company to make a profit.2.Cost of living here is greater than a minimum wage can provide3. Children that have been spoiled by their parents to the point they think work is for the other class of people.4. Easier to get welfare than a job. Especially if your a unwed mother.5.Too much use of recreational drugs . Tune out ,toke up mentality .I bet there are more things then I can list.

DO you realize how hard it is to find dog toys that are made in the US? We even import dog bones! Why in the hell can't we manage to make our own stuff? No wonder unemployment is so high. At least back during the great depression, we still had quality products being made in this country, we still had farms growing our own produce. No offense to China, but I'm sick and tired of seeing "made in China" on everything. I was going to buy a bottle of Walgreen's (a drugstore chain) brand "clariton" today, until I read "made in India" on the bottle. What the hell is with that? I'm effen fed up with this crap. Suggested CategorySports > Football (Soccer) > 2006 FIFA World Cup(TM) huh????

Yes all that cheap labour in foreign countries are killing the North American economy. If you think it is hard to find made in USA try to find something made in Canada. I guess that is why "They are closing Detroit Down" along with Oshawa and every other city making cars.

You are not the only one fed up with this crap. I try to buy American, but it is freaking impossible! I seriously prefer quality over cheap. One problem I have is where are they cutting cost when it is cheaper and it has been shipped across an ocean....I ponder this. Keep buying American Greetings wrapping paper...My husband makes it!
