Yep - well they do to an extent catz - there is a place in Utah that is currently making dog and cat products - look into it online.. just be prepared to pay the extra cash for it. I would pay the extra if I knew it was made in the usa... amen.

I do realize it Catz, sadly, it is nothing new. My family worked in manufacturing for generations, as did I for many years, but our jobs were shipped over seas and to Mexico for cheaper labor. Next time you go clothes shopping try to find ANYTHING that says made in America. I'm sooo sick of hearing about americans that won't take these types of jobs,... it is a LIE, my family would love to have our jobs back!

same as other countries. cheaper labour=more profits. why pay a decent wage when you don't have to ? and of course WE , the PEOPLE , buy the cheap stuff. it's a vicious cycle and nobody wants to jump off.

I totally agree. Everyone keeps going on about creating jobs when we already could have them if we would just start making the stuff here. I'd love to have a job in a dog bone factory.

I agree. India is not regulated properly and I'd be careful about buying any pharmaceuticals from there. It's cheaper to import - that's my guess. But that's a short-term rationale. When you find the answer let us all know. Great question.

I know what you mean Catz. It sucks not being able to find anything made in America anymore. I struggle with trying to find toys that are made here so that I know they will be safe for my kids. I order a lot of stuff onlinefrom www.buyamerican.com. Cheap labor and cheaply made products just seem to be what most people care about these days instead of quality made products that may cost more but last a lot longer. I am from the South where cotton used to be king, and everyone I know had at least one or two people from their family who worked in textiles, but now all of the cotton mills have closed down and so many people are out of work. It's just sad.
