Wal-Mart and Costco made news last week when they limited the amount of RICE their customers could buy as they warned them of the harm personal hording of rice could do to Americans that eat rice. As the commodity becomes more difficult to get should countries be allowed to horde the staple?Given that America exports a large portion of world wide food stuffs should we ban OUR products from export? While it is true Americans won't starve for the need of rice, it is the fact that nations in the Middle East and Africa are not getting the rice and are in need of the staple. Philosphically, should nations horde as others are in need?

Its THEIR rice... not yours unless they sell it to you.... AT THAT time it becomes your rice and THEN you can do what you want with it ... but not while its still their rice.

Sure. Keep in mind that the US can produce enough food to feed the entire world. Why do we care what India does?No one cares that we provide more economic aid to foreign countries then all the others combined. Maybe we should be selfish too?
