What if Japan cannot sell their domestic rice and decided to export it? What are the disadvantages for Japan?
Here is a good article that I found.http://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/agoutlook/apr1999/ao260c.pdfA disadvantate that I can see is that Japan has very high tarrifs on rice imports. This liberalization of the market could allow cheaper imports to compete in the local market.JosephMBA
