because they are not part of the Detroit 4. but give it time.... everyone is turning to imports because they are reliable

i like and respect all cars especally if they've been customized. you need to make you car your own. give it some of your own personality. one of a kinds are best. and if you do all the work yourself even better and mad props to you.

I built two 10 second street cars.. one is ricer and one is muscle. I respect them both but if I had it to do over again I probably would have passed on my rice burner.. it was a huge pain in the a** money pit during modification. I do have more respect for my WS6 than I do my Evolution. Its more durable, easier to work on and it makes far more horses with less money, time & trouble invested. My Mitsubishi Evolution continually broke down as it was being modified.. not the case with my Trans Am. As I would beef up one part.. a different part would fail on the evolution so it was a never ending cycle of breaking down. Beef up the engine.. and the clutch failed.. beefed up the clutch and the tranny failed.. I actually had to cut back on the amount of horses just to keep the drive train from falling apart.

i hear a lot of stuff about people talking shit about imports and rice burners and drifting..its not just about racing or drifting its about art..how many people bean in a 10 second car not most of you so i just want to know why you guys dont respect the ricer burners or drifting cars.

It all depends on the people and what they class in this circle,where i live Japanese cars sell to usually the slightly older,so there isn't the anti import scene.Its strange as any divide that i see locally is that Imports and American Muscle drives together and abuse i have gotten is from Euro made car owners.Luckily after a few bad examples of imports being modded all seem to be nicely done nowdays with nice kits and big exhaust and power to add to this.Myself drive imports and although on rare occasions get bad feedback 9 and half times out of ten its good feedback with people taking pics and vids and almost daily people coming and talking to me about my car.If anything it can drive my wife mad as i nip to the shops and come back alot later.So i suppose all this depends on who is around you and people should not use the term rice burner to openly not at all really but even less to use it at every import car nicely and badly modded versions and just for being Japanese etc seems to be the norm now days.Also this comparison of attitude that some folks have about comparing American Muscle to domestic Japanese cars, As said iam lucky enough to mix with American Muscle owners whom respect Japanese Muscle and not knock tuned Japanese domestic owners.
