American cars are terrible! aside from maybe Ford. I'm actually very surprised they've lasted this long.

Yes i would like to agree with you but....there are several "import" cars made here in the USA. also while the big 3 were building big honkin SUV's and Trucks, RBI's were making small fuel efficient cars. that were built extremely well. they have hundreds of cars with 250,000+ miles on Them and they are still driving. now usa is coming around and starting to build better made models people just arent buying made cars made by the big 3 yet. hopefully with the new camero and fiat bringing in some of thier models. ford is making some pretty cool cars. hopefully the big 3 can continue thier reign. but yes id take a classic GTO or Firebird or Camero (or thier newer comterparts) over any import today.

I completely agree. I dont immediantly throw all imports into the "ricer" category though. There are some nice imports, but you gotta look hard. I think that the ricers completely ruin it for the real tuners. I've always driven american but I've seen a few imports that are pretty cool. Plus, American car companies need all the help they can get right now. And if my choice to buy american cars helps the economy, then I'm all ofr it. Honda just shut down ALL their plants in the US. Shows how much they really cared about the american people.
