Help! How to plan a trip with the Eurail?
If you are only travelling once, then do not get a rail pass. Rail passes are sold by the number of days of travel that you wish to use them for, and they only start at a minimum of four days of travel within a 60-day period. So if you are only going to travel to once place, you will at most travel on a total of two days - one day going to your destination, and one day returning to Paris. If you only go to or from Paris, then that's just one day of travel used out of your four days paid. The result is that a rail pass will have caused you to purchase excess days of travel, and thus you will end up paying more than if you just bought point-to-point tickets.I would strongly recommend just purchasing individual, point-to-point tickets. From Paris, the easiest place to get to is London as it is just 2.
