If you're interested in surfing, it might be worthwhile for you to consider "Lacanau" , which is a great place on the Atlantic coast. I went there once, it's fantastic. I mean, if you're looking for the surf atmosphere and everything, that's the place where you must go (eventhough there are other spots for surf in the area)..
