What Is An Embroidered Tablecloth?
An embroidered tablecloth is a cloth that people use to cover their tables. Usually they are made of cotton or an artificial fabric, but more expensive ones can be made of silk, linen or lace like a quaker lace tablecloth. Most embroidery tablecloths have been created to be cleaned easily. Their main purpose is to protect the table so it won't be stained or scratched, but they people can buy them just for decorative purposes.
A very known technique for embroidered tablecloth is cross-stitch, it consist on using x-shaped stitches which form a picture. The tread that is most used is a cotton embroidery floss made of mecerised cotton, it is made of six strands that can be separated easily. Other kinds of threads include pearl cotton, danish flower thread and rayon.
