For me, it would be quite the opposite. I'd much rather spend time in New Mexico, visiting places such as Roswell (the "UFO capitol"), Albuqurque/Santa Fe (a major route lit up in neon of former old US Route 66) and the infinite number of old and abandoned ghost towns that populate the state rich in Old West and Native American history. Vegas? Meh.. :-).
