Are you planning to stay in one location? Or travel the country from place to place? One favorite of overseas visitors seems to be old US Route 66 which runs from Chicago to Santa Monica Pier in California. You can search around for that or I can give you some links and junk. If you're interested, I'll post more information.I think the best thing you can do is search around for places that interest you. You're probably going to want to see things that impress you, based on what you usually see everyday at home. For example, my being from Brooklyn NY and living here, I want to run as far west as possible and get away from that congested city feel. For me, wide open spaces, nature, the parks and landmarks and scenic drives are what I aim for most times. Guess it all depends on what you want to see and do here.
