Yeah I have to agree with a couple of the other posters, it kind of depends what you want to get up to; elizazeith's list is concise but largely accurate. Just like anywhere else though South Africa does have its climatic variations (its a vast nation after all) and as we have seen this year and in 2010 lots of rain and even snow in the Western and Eastern Cape can occur..
