If you're thinking about a city to live in, then Buenos Aires is ideal. I'm currently living here whilst studying Spanish at one of the many language schools dotted around the city (this one in particular is called Expanish). Buenos Aires is particularly great for gringos as there is a large amount of expats living here, but not too many that you don't end up meeting locals too. There are a huge number of things to do here, such as tango classes etc. and the most incredible selection of restaurants I have ever experienced in a city...Also, I found it really easy to rent an appartment here, there are a huge number of sites which list appartments for short term rentals...try BA RentalsHope this helps!.
