Take it from a local: Go now! No, seriously, if you have the money and are looking for an awesome Caribbean getaway, go to Margarita. What many people don't seem to know is that two of the smaller islands (Cubagua and Chuao, if memory serves; been living abroad for 5 years now) are almost unspoiled and even less crowded than Margarita. Also, make sure you try the local cuisine Empanadas de cazn are the best!.
