Well the exchange rate used to be a huge draw card for the overseas traveller but now the cost of living in Southern Africa is pretty much in line with most first world countries.Some things are cheaper but other things are more expensive. At the end of the day it is about the same overall living cost. Unless you stay in the bush which is a different story.You will be able to exchange dollars at a bank but you wont be able to use them in a store..
