My cousins live over in WA, so I've been over there to visit a few times - and if you've only got a month, then you won't be disappointed. Whilst you would miss out on lots of the great things that the Eastern side has to offer, WA can certainly keep you busy. South of Perth you will find the Margaret River region which is stunning. Further north you'll find Monkey Mia, which is definitely something you should not miss out on. WA is also slightly cheap than the Eastern States. One word of advice, though - you will definitely need some form of transport, as everything is VERY spread out. So make sure you budget this into your plans... Hope this helps....
