You won't have any troubles getting casual work whilst traveling around Oz. There is so much out there - especially if you don't mind doing hospitality jobs. Call centres often employ travellers as well. If you want to extend your Visa, I hear that if you are happy to go fruit picking for a month or so, you can earn a couple of extra months!.
