Has anyone got any advice on travelling to Baku, Azerbaijan? I will be there to visit a friend of mine, arriving late on 16 September and leaving on 24 September. That's right, I leave in two weeks! Can anyone recommend places to go or things to see? Good places for mud volcanoes? What else is good to see? Is the opera or the ballet good there (and how much does it cost)? Any tips for a young (well, 28 year-old) woman on her own? I can speak quite a lot of Russian, but no Azeri. Thank you! Kate.
