I don't know what's going on, but this past year I've been feeling a lot more tense, more nervous and shaky. I've developed habits like constantly shaking my leg, can't sit still, etc. Basically, nervousness/anxiety. I don't know why, necessarily. It's become a habit that I cannot shake off. Anyone else do this as well? What are some relaxation or calming methods you use? I think I just need to relearn how to live a more relaxed life, free from tension and worry. Any advice ?

Quick ways to relax can be as simple as holding the hands of a loved one. It can be your spouse, your kid or a trusted friend. And speaking of trusted friends, connecting to a buddy can also help us relax. It can be as simple as making a phone call to simply say hello.

Here are some simple ways to do so.
1 If possible, lie down or at least sit comfortably. 2 Close your eyes and concentrate your attention on your nostrils, where air enters the nose. 3 Take a slow and deep breath in through your nose. Notice how the air is cold, entering your nose. 4 Hold your breath for a seconds holding your attention on the same spot. 5 Breath out slowly and quietly through the nose. Notice how the air is warm on your nostrils on the way out. 6 Do this for a few minutes, until you let disturbed thoughts go and feel relaxed. |

1. Drink some green tea 2. Take a nap 3. Go outside 4. Get fresh air 5. Get sunlight 6. Meditate on the breath 7. Breathe deeply 8. Watch some TV 9. Listen to classical music 10. Go to the gym |

Here are few Simple ways for relaxation
1. Let your mind wander into your most delectable fantasy and enjoy your own private adventure. 2. Treat yourself to a fine meal at an elegant restaurant. 3. Choose a selection of music that is special to you for whatever reason, and listen to it for about 15 to 30 minutes.

Thanks for sharing a good topic. Meditation is simple to learn, at that moment, the scene all right, when you are distracted, you do not rely on the past or anxiety about the future. In meditation you become your true self-consciousness of peace.
