I noticed that Canadian Tire has the AirX 400W Wind Generator (http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows...BGenerator.jsp) on sale this week for $679.99, and it reminded me of this Dutch study from last year: Small windmills put to the test (http://www.lowtechmagazine.com/2009/...t-results.html). The surprising (to me at least) conclusion: "Wind power rules, but small windmills are a swindle." (_Note:_ The comments at the bottom of the linked article are especially illuminating.)
