I just got a phone call with blocked caller ID and a woman claiming she is calling from a courier company, telling me they are going to deliver a something to me tomorrow morning between 8 to 8:30. She asked me if i will be available. I instantly found it suspicious as she is hiding her number. I kept asking her phone number and the name of the business. She did not want to tell me at first and gave me a number and name of the courier company. I called back and the staff there said they have nothing for me. I googled the company and it is in SK. I am in vancouver. So obviously she gave me fake information. But she does know my name and address. What she has is my english name, not my legal name. And I have not ordered anything recently or expecting a delivery. I called RCMP and asking if it might be a scam or what i should do. The woman officer who answered the phone was not helpful at all, she just kept telling she does not know anything. she told me to call 911 if tomorrow anything goes wrong. So i am posting here to get help. Do you guys think it is suspicious or a scam? Should I receive the parcel tomorrow?
