Soo, I'm looking for books to read during the plane this summer. The flight is like 14 hours long, from Seattle to Tokyo, to China.
I read tons. I can finish a regular sized book, like it girl, or twilight in less than a day. && i've narrowed my book choices down to 2 options. [[option 1]] http://www.amazon.com/Clique-Summer-Collection-Massie/dp/0316027510/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213071806&sr=1-1 AND http://www.amazon.com/Clique-Summer-Collection-Alicia/dp/0316027537/ref=pd_sim_b_img_2 [[Option 2]] http://www.amazon.com/Airhead-Meg-Cabot/dp/0545040523/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213069202&sr=1-1 I cant really decide which one to get. I own all the regular clique books, but none of the summer series, so i want to get that, but they're pretty short. So, i would probably finish them before the flight is half over. However, the meg cabot book is long, and seems pretty interesting. [[continued in additional details.]] so idk what to get. i know that i WILL like the clique books, but they're pretty short. so maybe airhead. i know i will def get them all eventually, along w/ like the other 75 books on my summer reading list, but i want to read these first. hahha, i would buy all of them now, but my mom hates buying me books, but i love the fresh scent so i spread out my book buying. hahhha, thanks. oh and if breaking dawn came out sooner, id take that over both of these options, but too bad im leaving in like 2 weeks. |

I've read all of Meg Cabot's books and I like all of them.
The Gossip Girl series are okay, not as good as The It Girl. But Jenny's in it. The Gossip Girl series are by the same author as The It Girl. I would also recoment The A-list series by Zoey Dean. Others would be: The Shopaholic series by Sophia Kinsella (these are a bit longer, but not as long as the twilight series). The Nannie Diaries by Emma McGlaughlin Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding Sloppy Firsts by Megan Mccafferty Second Helpings by Megan Mccarfferty Those are the only ones I can think of right now. Try this website. I read tons of books from here. http://www.candycoveredbooks.com/ |

Amy, amy, AMY!!!!!!..........Let me get this straight....you're an excellent reader, a really smart girl, who is going to have hours and hours and hours of time on your hands.......and these are the only books that you are debating about? Good grief!!! These books are pure trash.
Get some literature! Check out some John Steinbeck (The Pearl, or Cannery Row), or Kurt Vonegut Jr (Slaughter House 5). Or "The Great Gatsby" You have a great mind. Put it to good use. Read "Gone with the Wind" It really is a good book. Better yet, get into James Michener. Try "Texas" or "The Source". Don't waste your time on garbage while taking a spectaular trip. Get double education! Tackle some GOOD stuff. Read something GREAT. The "classics" made the list because they are all really excellent and timeless books that are fun to read!!!! Now and forever. |

Summer reading program are to help children maintain their level of literacy. Children who participate in these programs will keep their skills sharp reader during summer vacation, which will give them an advantage when they head back to school in autumn. Children always look forward to summer vacation, but parents are not always sure how best to cope. For some parents summer marks the beginning of summer camp and other activities for their children.
