Default Question 2 - Travel to Quebec?

Do I need to know French if I go to Quebec Province? Some phrases that are must-knows? Is there any free websites where I can learn them?
Thank you for your time.

Default Question 2 - Travel to Quebec?

you dont really need to know much french. most people there will recognize that you dont speak the language and will start speaking english to you. maybe know how to say Merci (thank you) or s'il vous plait (please)...i mean if you really want to learn a few phrases i'm sure theres a list of common phrases somewhere on google. but otherwise, you dont absolutely need to know it.

The further into Quebec from the Ontario and US borders you go the more you will need to know French. Check with Itunes they have some pod casts that teach language for free.

Whereabouts in Quebec? I went to Quebec City last year, I can speak French, but I didn't need to, everyone we talked to could speak English.
