It depends on what your definition of expensive is dear.

I guess prices are overall reasonable in Quebec.

Which city do you call home?

P.S. What on earth are you doing up at 5h45 am?!?

It is a very reasonable prices city, I may say one of the more affordable in Canada

A coffee may be around a dolar and something, I don't remember, local transport about 2 dollars and taxi depend where you go

I remember I had a lunch in a VERY good restaurant and paid about 30 dollars for my meal, but that was an unbelievable good restaurant with luxury included

It is cheap don't worry !!

Quebec is an entire province. I assume you mean Montreal?

Montreal is expensive. Bring about $50 if you plan on taking a taxi in any major city. The rest really depends where you eat.
