Default Fellow Canadians??

Hey im 16. Well i am canadian but i never lived there. My family is traveling to Quebec to visit my great grandma and cousins. I hear that a lot of canadians don't like americans. Will they be possibly be a little friendlier towards me since i am canadian? But remember i grew up in the USA.

As long as you are friendly, and polite, I don't think it matters what you are. When I worked in motels and restaurants, there were plenty of Americans who were way nicer then some Canadians. LOL, really, who you are as a person matters most, and since you seemed worried, I think you must be quite caring.
Enjoy your visit!

Canadians are not anti-American to their faces. Just behind their backs.

When visiting (i.e. coming to Canada to spend their money) Americans are welcomed with open arms and warm hearts.

Don't worry.

If you live in the States and use American money to purchase items they will believe you to American.
Quebec isn't one of the friendliest places to go, unless you speak French. They can be down right rude.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Just have fun!

Don't worry to much, as in all places some people are rude and some friendly. It's not everyone who has a prejudice against americans, we never went as far as changing the name of stuff like french fries ;-)

Maybe in Quebec you would come across some narrow minded people who think the whole world should speak french to accommodate them, but in general people will be friendly, especially if you start with a Bonjour. And I say that as a french-Canadian living in Montreal.

Have fun discovering your country, and relax we don't bite ;-)
