Default Moraine Lake, Banff National Park?

I was thinking about travelling to Alberta, Canada with my wife, and I had a few questions about Moraine Lake. Can you swim in this lake? How deep is the water? What is the closest major airport to this lake?

This should help you a little, although i'm still not too sure about swimming in Moraine Lake, i think it's a Glacier lake, so it may be too cold. There are other recrational lakes there though.

Morraine Lake is WAY too cold for swimming. It comes directly off a glacier. However, canoeing across it is wonderful It is my favourite lake out there.

The closest airport is Calgary. it's about 2 hours or so to drive out to Morraine. It is very close to Lake Louise as well, and just west of Banff.
