Default Can anyone help with a CBP problem?

If the CBP denied me entry to the united states from canada, on grounds that they felt I was planning to go as an immigrant and "did not have strong enough ties to canada to convince them I'd return to the country", can I still travel to the USA in a few months? I had a one way ticket, did that matter? Is there any advice at all you guys can offer? I'll provide more information if needed and asked for. Also, they didnt say I was banned or flagged or anything. I was "granted the opportunity to withdrawl my application to enter" the united states. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.
Also I'm a canadian citizen

There is no set period of time in which you can re-apply for admission into the United States.

Going on what you have stated, I am assuming that you where attempting to enter the United States without a visa? If that is the case then all non-visa holders must be in possession of a return or onward ticket upon entry to the United States. So yes, the fact that you only held a one-way ticket could have affected your request for entry.

Next time, bring a return or onward ticket and other proof that you intend to return home such as a morgage or lease, letter of employement, proof that you have enrolled in school, any children or a spouse you may have etc.

Is there some information missing from your explanation? It's quite rare for a Canadian citizen to be refused entry. If it happened a lot, Canadian citizens wouldn't be visa exempt, which or course they are. So, why did they think you were an intending immigrant? It's an interesting opinion to reach. I think there was more to it than simply not having a return ticket. So, in the absence of more information, I really wouldn't suggest trying to go back anytime soon If you hadn't withdrawn your application, it would probably have been much worse for you.
