Hotel info shouldn't be in save-the-dates?

No. If you already have the hotel info and have worked it out with the hotel and blocked rooms (if you went this route), then by all means add the hotel info with the save the dates.

The save the dates should also be used to communicate this information if you already have it. As a concession, some brides set up websites that list all this information and put it at the bottom of the save the date for the guests.

You can send additional information only to the guest who are coming out of town.

The people that say you shouldn't probably had their wedding in the same village they grew up in with all guest living within a 10 m radius
I think it is a great idea

Include this info. If you don't you will recieved unwanted calls about hotel stay; something that you could have added to the save the date cards.

It is pertinent that your guests RSVP though.
