Depends when you are going, but it's really not as extreme as everyone seems to think it is.

If you are going in the summer you can expect similar (maybe a little colder) weather as everywhere else. The scenery is amazing and there is loads of stuff to do. If you are camping, I would recommend getting a tent that's lined with something heavy to keep out the light (peak of summer is 22 hours of sunlight in some places) and other then that, bring layers (same as always) and bug spray. The mosi's are not too bad, but out in the boonies they can be a bit much to take.

Other then that have fun! It's a really really great place to visit. Some things to see are, the Yukon Whitepass Railway... amazing ride from Skagway to the Yukon, go for a walk along the river. Go to Kluane for a day hike, and if you can get a tee time at one of the golf course for a midnight tee time. Amazing!
