In the United States, the Stepan Company of Maywood, New Jersey has the only license to legally import coca leaf. The company manufactures pure cocaine for medical use and also produces a cocaine-free extract of the coca leaf, which is used as a flavoring ingredient in Coca-Cola. According to the Bolivian Press, in 1996 the legal importation of coca leaf by Coca-Cola was 204 tons annually. So I would say Bolivia

There are no leaves.Where did you hear that? They did it pre 1909.That was 100 years ago.The FDA came into being and the coca came out of Coke. What addicts people is the caffeine in Coke.Your were on the right track( but your 100 years late).there was a rumor involving Monsanto. They were said to have had bought tons of coca leaves and sold them to coke. That was not true.( the country is question was Bolivia).http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/cocaine.aspI'm not against it either. But there is no use for the leaf and there is no way Coke is going to get busted for such a foolish thing. The ingredient no longer exists in their formula. Also, did you read the snopes article?the amout of cocaine was so minimal( toward the end of the era) that it wasn't even enough to get a "Fly buzzed".Still, it's an interesting topic and still amazing how people still think that it contains coca.

Colombia or Peru?Indirectly via the only authorized company in the US to process the leaves into the syrup to prepare the most famous and addictive beverage worldwide.Pls.do some research .Don´t include your presumptions or what you like to think about this subject.Yes, the coca extract still in use contains processed coca leaf syrup but not cocaine.I´m not against it, just want to be clear about it.Every one likes to drink it I guess regardless of how it is made.

In the past several years, people in urban centres have begun to go out for lunch at food stalls on the street. Consequently there has been a proliferation of temporary food stalls along many sidewalks and public spaces in cities. Some stalls are open until late in the morning to cater to regular customers. Around noon, owners can be seen arranging tables and benches along the pavement to form makeshift shop floors. After two or three hours, when there are no more customers, they begin to remove all of their wooden furniture, so that the place resumes its former appearance. A well served lunch for one costs very little money.
