They cant grow their own corn, etc?Right. Tariffs on US Goods???Like Mexico can afford US made stuff.RidiculousGreater quality corn?We buy tomatoes and other vegetables from Mexico alotyet they taste great like US oneswhatever98% of the Wealth in mexico is owned by 2% of the population. They make their own cars and truck there who most people cant buy. They own their own chemical companies in Pemex and Cemex. I dont see your pointThe United States does not make electronics anymore. They have not for decades.Japan and Asia in general make the most electronics. Many of the TV's and stereos we buy in the US are made in the Maquiladores in TJ/Mexico by japanese companies. Huh?

Ahem... Mexico is the U.S.'s third most important trading partner after Canada and China. In 2007, it imported $141 Billion in goods from the U.S. (half of all its imports) and exported to the U.S. some $223 Billion in goods. Top U.S. exports to Mexico include electronic equipment, motor vehicle parts, and chemicals. Top Mexican exports to the U.S. include petroleum, cars, and electronic equipment. If that's not enough to convince you that Mexicans can indeed afford U.S. imports, keep in mind that in 2008, Forbes listed the second-richest man on the planet as a Mexican - Carlos Slim. He came out ahead of Bill Gates.
